  1. 1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a large skillet. Juice the lemon adn add to the water. 2. Add asparagus to the boiling water and cook for 4 minutes. Remove asparagus with tongs or by pouring into a colander. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
